Seems like 1500 is too low for me
Hi guys,
I'm a 190 cm (approximately 6'3"), 76 kg (167 lbs), 29-year-old man. I've been on this weight loss journey since 2022 and managed to drop from 101 kg to a stable 75-77 kg over the course of 8 months. Since reaching my goal weight, I've been maintaining it with relative ease. Additionally, I go to the gym three times a week and am gradually losing the "skinny fat" look, while toning up.
Now, I thought I might try to push myself a bit further and aim for a new low of around 70 kg to see more definition around my abdomen. However, it’s been much more challenging than I expected. I’ve been on 1500 calories for the past 9 days, and I’m feeling awful. It's proving to be much harder to maintain than I thought. I have headaches, low energy levels, I’m constantly irritated, and I have cold hands and feet.
Is this what true cut means?
EDIT: Thanks to all the comments. I will be increasing my intake to 1800-1900 since my stoopid a$$ confused BMR with TDEE
