Starting an IM in 2025

Getting bored of normal game and pvp, is it worth starting an iron? I've always liked the idea of rawdogging the game from scratch but the thought of game goals turning into a monotonous grind as you progress further has always put me off.

I have a bit of spare time these days so it's a better time than ever to have a go at it. I enjoy all aspects of the game(Although I'm not confident in recent circumstances)
