Time blindness - help :(
Hello,
Let me preface this with:
I'm 32, was diagnosed in 2022 after years of being in denial and being anti-medicine (thanks mom).
I'm currently on 50mg Mydayis and 15mg Lexapro, and have been for a little over a year.
I'm having a really hard time with time management lately. I'm late everywhere I go, no matter what I do. Work, church, shows, etc. I have tried using timers, I've tried setting clothes out the night before, and a few other things. I get distracted really easily and find myself doing something that I guess I find more interesting than getting ready, and I think I'll be able to get ready and out the door way faster than I actually can. The problem is that it keeps happening even though I know it's not normal. I've tried talking to my psychiatrist, and he doesn't think it's a symptom of my ADHD. I disagree, of course, and am worried about my job primarily. I'm trying to get accommodations (flexible work schedule), but I need to have the forms filled by the 27th, and I really don't think my psychiatrist will do it, due to the short notice and the fact that he doesn't think it's ADHD.
Has anyone else experienced this and found solutions that work? Any advice on how to convince my psychiatrist or find a new one quickly?
I'm so flustered and don't know what to do.
Austin, Texas, by the way. In case anyone knows something/someone locally that I can try.
