Unending Suffering from Ryzen 7600
The AMD Ryzen 7600 is driving me crazy. I constantly get stuttering on Chrome when opening a new tab or playing videos randomly, no matter what I try. How is it that 2-3 generation old CPUs work fine, but this newer one struggles like it's an old Athlon?
Did we just pay extra for DDR5 RAM, a Zen 5 compatible motherboard, and all this new tech just to get more stuttering?
People talk about Ryzen Master curve optimization, but seriously, am I supposed to be a CPU developer to get it working right? I’ve tried dozens of combinations (-50, -30, -20) and while temps are lower and Cinebench scores are better, the real-world performance is absolutely terrible!
Is there any actual fix for this CPU or did we all just get scammed? And yes, EXPO is enabled. There’s literally no noticeable real-life difference between having it on or off.
Specs:
- CPU: Ryzen 7600 (tower cooler, temps are fine)
- RAM: V-Color DDR5 Manta XSky RGB AMD EXPO 32GB (16GBx2) 6000MHz CL36
- Motherboard: MSI PRO B650-S WIFI (latest BIOS, but every update changes nothing)
- PSU: Raijintek Cratos ATX 3.0 850W 80+ GOLD
- Storage: Kioxia 1TB Exceria PRO Series NVMe M.2 SSD (7300MB/s read, 6400MB/s write)
I destroyed my previous build with a Ryzen 3600 and 16GB DDR4 RAM on a Samsung QVO 860 SSD, and it’s beyond frustrating that the older setup performed way better.
Any solutions for this CPU architecture, or did we all just get screwed?
