I have never played the actual game

My buddy and I have been playing this game for almost a decade and recently realized that we have never actually played the game. We get on to build stuff and tame/breed random dinos.. and we make gazebos to meet up for smoke sessions.. but we have never completed missions or had boss fights.. at most is random spelunking but we always have tek suits so it's never a worry to fight anything. Does anyone else treat this game as a virtual hangout to visit friends they rarely see? Or does everyone actually play the game the way it's supposed to be played? Lol anyway, here's my current swamp castle home and some recent fire wyvern breeding.
