Aerial Straps Rollups - Is rolling down meant to be significantly harder?

Even though I can perform multiple consecutive rollups I’ve still never successfully rolled down without bending my arms as my hips go over my head.

I also can’t do them with just my arms / elbows in the loops while on the floor as it feels too unstable, which is a drill I saw promoted on a few YouTube videos.

I’ve found stacking mats / crash pads on either side and rolling backwards in between them on the floor to be quite a good drill but it doesn’t feel like it translates to doing it on the straps for me.
