What are some common problems that farmers face in modern agriculture?

I’m trying to work on a project that brings together environmental engineering and agriculture. However, I just got familiar with the agricultural field and I’m not aware of the problems that farmers face on a day to day basis. What are some obstacles that farmers are looking to overcome in their field?
