Fresh stroopwafel in centrum

An American friend of mine has a layover in Amsterdam tomorrow and wants to get a stroopwafel. Normally I drag people to Albert Cuyp, but because her visit is so brief, I'd like to stay in centrum as much as possible and not waste time on public transport. What's a good place to get the Real Thing? By which I mean good, freshly made in front of us, and ideally at least the size of my hand.

(I once took foreign friends to get poffertjes in centrum and they just gave us small round pancakes. I'd like to avoid similar fiascos/crappy tourist traps.)
