need help deciding which beginner film camera(s) to invest in!
i have relatively extensive experience with digital cameras, mostly Nikon, and have observed my sister's film progress for quite some time, as she is very invested in both digital and film photography! (i will pose these inquiries to her as well.)
for personal usage, however, i am rather overwhelmed by the options! from what i have gathered so far, i would most likely be interested in a 35mm with options to manually adjust aperture, ISO, shutterspeed, etc.. i'm looking for cameras with good color film quality and that succeed in highlighting unique and creative compositions. no particular price range, just looking for reliability.
in terms of brand, i've heard good things about Olympus OM-1s!!! I also love love love the Rolleiflex T 3.5s, (but those seem a bit more of an investment for a beginner), the Lomo Lubitels and LC-As, etc... otherwise, I really have no clue and don’t know too much about other film cameras!
i do have an old Minolta SRT101, a gift to my father as a child and a camera my sister used for a bit, but I have yet to buy film and try her out. I also believe she may have a light-leak issue? unsure, but ill be sure to try it out! i also have my sisters old Minolta XG-A, but do not know how well it works either. i’ll attach photos of both and the lenses i have!
i would be endlessly appreciative for any input from all you brilliant artists! feel free to offer an excess of information, i will gladly read it all!
