Does anyone clench their muscles when in long stretches of anxiety?
A few years back, I was dealing with a lot of anxiety driven by my divorce and noticed that I started clenching my muscles (typically my arms) all day long. It drove me crazy and is visible to other people, but was some sort of tic that I couldn’t stop. A year ago (and with the help of meds), it completely resolved, but started back up over the past couple of months as I’m in a long stretch of constant anxiety again. I’m curious if anyone else deals/has dealt with this and if you’ve found anything that helped you stop?
