LG range keeps saying it needs to be cleaned

We go a new stove about a year ago and we keep getting "stove needs to be cleaned." My husband has cleaned it but it still comes back. (he did self clean for a short time) I don't see any way to disable it or tell if that we cleaned it. But we want the other notifications so we don't want to turn off notifications.

Edit 2 App update made it different! Open app->gear icon in the upper right->notification settings->stove->uncheck "cleaning cycle"
