Roper appliances - solid or not?
15 years ago, as a bachelor, I replaced a stacked Whirlpool washer dryer combo with a Roper washer and a Roper dryer. They have performed well over the years, and are still going strong. At one point I replaced the timer in the dryer, and recently, I replaced the thermostat. Simple fixes, both. Having said all that, I am anticipating the replacement of both of these appliances at some point in the near future. Without any input, I would probably replace both with new Roper appliances. The question is, has Roper (a whirlpool product) become more or less reliable?
