Any advice appreciated: Losing a fish per day!
Hello Friends, my 75 gallon is in bad shape. I have a fully planted 75 gallon freshwater aquarium that is (or was) filled with nano fish.
Neons, Lemons, White Skirt, Reds = Tetras Rasboras Dwarf guarmis Corydoras Ghost Shrimp
Over the past month I have lost well over 70% of my stock. 1 fish a day. There is never a sign of disease or any obvious ick, bloat, or anything like that. The color is completely normal.
I have done 3 50% water changes in that time. About 1 a week and the problem still persists. I have a master test kit and everything seems perfect parameter wise. By all accounts the tank is very healthy.
The only thing that has changed is that we have gone from 7 days a week feeding to 3 days a week to reduce some algae building up. Could that be a part of the problem?
My wife also wanted me to mention that every time we pull a dead fish out of it, the Shrimp are eating the dead fish. The shrimp are about as big if not bigger than most of the fish. Could I have ravenous Shrimp?
Any help is appreciated. I've gone from about 70 fish to 20 in a month and am losing faith. Please help!
