Using Discord for note-taking?

Do any of yous use Discord as a place to take notes or plan your research?

I started using Discord a bit for minor research planning/organisation stuff around halfway through my doctoral studies. I had channels where I'd put notes-to-self about papers to read, subchapters to write etc. But nothing which was too important because I feared losing it all in case my account got hacked or something.

Currently I'm in the research stage for a book and I'm legit finding it so useful as a place to take notes. Especially the reply feature: if you have a thought later that links back to an earlier point you can have those connected. You can upload PDFs of papers, etc.

Was wondering whether anyone else does this?
