Lincoln Square for a 23 year old female?

I have found some great apartments in the Lincoln square area within my budget. This would also be a super quick and easy commute to work. As far as socially, is Lincoln Square an ideal place to live for someone in their mid 20s? I do like to go out to bars, shops and restaurants. I'd also hope to meet other people close to my age around the neighborhood.
