Why is Poundland struggling?

Hi All, I read an article on Sky News saying that Poundland has seen a drop in sales and the owners are considering whether to sell.

Surely, with cost of living crisis they should be thriving with customers looking for bargain buys? Where are customers shopping for cheap products if not Poundland.
