Astarion Ranger / Thief Build - Something 'seems' to be off.

I am only level 4 and picked Ranger w/ Sharpshooter on my Astarion char with DEX currently at 16, however my hand crossbows only do +2 (archery from Ranger) to hit and do not seem to incorporate his DEX Bonus, is this normal?
