Top 10 Most Well Liked BFDI characters
Alright. I have to warn you guys, hot takes up ahead. Honorable Mentions will be made for ppl who think said character is popular but not in top 10. When I list characters here, I mean the kind with outstanding fanbases they get ridiculously far or are impossible to eliminate in general.
- Golf Ball
This image goes way too fucking hard for no reason
Golf Ball is one of those veteran characters who's always been controversial. However, after the writers screwing 8-Ball horribly, Golf Ball's fanbase exploded and gained more rootability. Golf Ball also makes a friend besides Tennis Ball in the form of Puffball and had a strong arc. She is also the only CloudYAY representative on this list due to getting almost half the votes when CloudYAY was UFE.
- Teardrop
She's getting a lot of votes in the future TPOT rejoin, if not the most votes rejoining TPOT
Teardrop is another veteran character with a ton of rootability. Has one of those underdog stories with being mute, and her fanbase started to shine most in Post Split, where she outlasted Leafy of all people. In TPOT, her fanbase kept on raving with the mini adventures she had. The rivalry with Eraser was also really good, as it fleshed out both her and Eraser's characters.
- Firey
I love this scene way too much as an 8-Ball fan
Firey's the main mascot of BFDI. The Mario of BFDI. Casuals know Firey the most. Anyways, Firey has a lot of development throughout BFDI and always had a strong fanbase. Whenever the Have Nots were UFE, he'd always be at the top with Woody. However, unlike Woody who still hasn't gotten screentime in 4 years, Firey's always had screentime and interesting plotlines, even when he's not competing.
- Pencil
Even if I hate Pencil, this crashout was pretty peak
I'm gonna be honest. I don't like Pencil and find her to be an irritating screenhog. Biases aside, Pencil is hella awesome in TPOT. In CloudYAY, her trauma is actually revealed, and the pain she went through. She's a cold asshole to everyone because of the torture she got and how she's fucking lonely. Ultra competitive people are also rootable. JnJ, it's okay to put CloudYAY UFE. I promise Pencil is safe with the sheer development she gets.
- Pen
Pen, he's always hyped and popular. This hype train started in Pre Split when he carried challenges in Death PACT. He also has an interesting plotline where he's in two friend groups. On one end, he is in the bros. On the other end, he's got Death PACT. This makes him especially rootable and makes him stick out from the bros as the other bros tend to be violent and mean while Pen is friendly and chill.
- Fries
With his current fanbase, this wouldn't have happened
Fries didn't do much in TPOT, I'll be honest. What even made me put him in the list is his crazy exploding fanbase due to BFDIA. This guy is the most badass menace in BFDIA. In BFDIA 10, he casually clutched a 1v12. He's also somehow the only mean character to not be a vote magnet, and I'm surprised how far this otherwise background character got. He even outdid Tennis Ball and won the prize for BFDIA 17 which is crazy.
- Black Hole
One of the deepest characters. Literally
Black Hole is one of the most fleshed out characters. He's got an extremely strong fanbase, and he's always been extremely popular. Black Hole's also got an interesting dynamic, where he wants to use his abilities to help his team, while also trying his best to prevent death. His fanbase is so massive he got the most votes to save in both TPOT 14 and TPOT 15, despite not getting the most lines or screentime in TPOT 13 and 14. Shows how strong Black Hole's fanbase is.
- Bubble
Bubble's one of those gen 1 characters who's fanbase will NEVER DIE. Like Leafy, Bubble's a very nice character and serves as the voice of reason to FreeSmart. She's also a finalist in season 1 of BFDI and the only time Bubble ever got eliminated was when the writers sniped Bubble out so Lollipop and Gelatin get more development. In hindsight, this was needed, and Bubble is still adored by thousands.
- Leafy
Leafy, one of the characters with the absolute strongest fanbases, arguably the main protagonist AND the main antagonist of BFDI, is a great character. Her dynamic with Firey was solid and garnered her a lot of fans. She was also extremely unkillable in Post Split, as people were mad when Leafy got so far. Well, it's not Leafy's fault she is such a well written character to have such a strong fanbase to support her.
Okay, before I head to number 1, I will list some honorable mentions.

- Tennis Ball
Even if he hates it, he needs to stay away from Golfie to be peak
Tennis Ball, the absolute goat. He is the only gen 1 character to never been eliminated via a viewer voting, and survived an assassination attempt in TPOT 6 by the writers who wanted to give Fries development. He always wins the prize in BFDIA and also gets the most votes in TPOT. Tennis Ball is such an interesting and fleshed out character, I don't think Tennis Ball is capable of hate, at least when he's not around Golf Ball.
Okay, yeah this is my list. You may argue why some of these guys aren't popular if you want.
