Actual sustainable pillow fillings without compromise! What do you recommend?
I've been on the lookout for some time to replace our current set of pillows and duvets with a goal of finding something that is actually sustainable, mainly focused on filling that doesn’t compromise on comfort or lifetime - like fx if they last half of what my current microfibre filled pillow does, i assume it might as well be just as impactful if not more...
I've seeen a lot of options like kapok, natural latex, buckwheat, wool, eucalyptus lyocell, and even silk inserts. They all sound really good, with some minor pro's and cons depending on what temperature is needed. But in general, with so many brands and marketing claims out there, it's hard to tell what’s the real deal and what’s just greenwashing.
What have you tried that you feel delivers on eco-friendliness, durability/lifetime, and comfort? I'm all ears and would love to hear your recommendations or any insights on these - or other - materials.
Thanks in advance!
