Last Call Baking — burnt croissants
Before I say anything; I love this bakery. There are plenty of mornings where I line up to get something sweet. But one thing that has been driving me a little crazy is their croissants.
Am I the only person in this city who sees that they’re burnt? Every single day, they’re nearly singed black, and the few times I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt, they’re underbaked in the middle—no fluffy layers. I just don’t get what’s going on there. Please help me not feel crazy. It was not like this before the James Beard recognition.
