Is Crypto going to be evil instead of good?

I've been thinking lately with all the billionaires getting into crypto in general. Is is actually not just a great way for them to avoid taxes and regulations and keep their billions regardless of what they do? If you're a crypto billionaire you can trade your crypto billionaire friends for whatever you want without anybody knowing. Now, I know that is every "libertarian's" wet dream and a "feature not a bug" but 10 years ago crypto was sold to us with the promise of no inflation and as a way to fight against the banks and take back control. I really don't want to see it become another tool for the rich to oppress people.
