Boomer FiL thinks the tragic Blackhawk plane collision is a conspiracy.

My boomer FiL told me that he thinks the collision is a conspiracy for some reason. When I asked why and what would it accomplish he had no answer but kept saying that it is a conspiracy and that it was done on purpose. I just told him that it's a tragedy and I feel so bad for the families. Anyone else's boomer people think this way?
