Scared for my girl. Bathroom probs.
My girl Maya has been having issues going to the bathroom for a few weeks. I’ve brought her to the vet on 3 different occasions and am doing everything she recommends to no avail. I’m planning on bringing her in next week for more testing, including an abdominal ultrasound.
She is acting fine (alert, wanting to play, eating/drinking fine, no vomiting) but the main symptom is blood in her stool. She sometimes can have a normal looking BM then will try 2-3x to keep going #2 and then it’s just drops of blood and/or diarrhea. It looks like straining. I am suspecting IBD at this point and I’m so heartbroken for my girl. I just want her to feel better.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Her vet has her on a Hills prescription diet and metronidazole right now, along with a probiotic.
