How many people still play this game?

I played through all yhe games in order and kind of rushed to bl3 because it's the newest I figured there would be the most people, I played 2 years ago and it was my favorite game of all time. Just got pandoras box and rushed through the games because I was excited to play 3 for the first time. Back then I wanted to get I to the uvhm and op levels and all that but I just didn't have the most reliable internet or the most time so never made it that far.

The plan was to accomplish that dream with bl3 but I'm just not liking the new art direction or really the world designs or actually a lot of things are kind of a let down.

I liked tales more than I thought I would and loved the characters from tps and that was it, 2 is still my favorite. Only lvl 10 through bl3 right now and just left pandora but I'm wondering if I should rush through 3 and accomplish my desire to be a total badass in 2 or if there is not enough active players and I should just stick to the plan and go as far as I can with 3. Though I also got tt wonderlands and am excited for that maybe I should just make that my main game until 4 comes out.

Guess the point here is.. bl3 is disappointing.

Esit: thanks for the replies everyone. Looks like I'll be finishing bl3 for the story and I'll still see how tiny tinas game goes since I do love swords maybe it will be better but overall it sounds like I can safely stick with borderlands 2 as my main game and just make the badass op 10 character I've always wanted in the game I liked best and if I ever need help I'll have a reliable number of internet strangers at the ready.
