Rub Rail Replacement

Anyone have experience with aftermarket/ specialty marine “oem” rub rails? About to begin a 13 whaler restoration, deciding if i should replace it. I found this listing for $275 if anyone has experience or input its welcome. The original one isnt ruined, but i think removing it would make sanding and painting easier, and i worry removing it would ruin the rubber insert or the whole thing just given the age.
