[Discussion] People defending horrendous things in bl manhwas/mangas “just because it’s fiction”

Okay, I’m writing this because I feel like I’m going insane not finding anyone who is actually agreeing on me with this topic.

One thing I have noticed after getting into bl manhwa/manga is that people defend the most HORRENDOUS characters and acts done by them, or defending authors who romanticize those horrible acts, such as, nicely said, non consensual intercourse.

It’s absolutely baffling to me. People actually supporting “couples” that have begun off of non consensual stuff done by either side of the couple because “it’s just fiction and they are so cute together”. Bitch that’s called gr@pe. And the authors who feed into it…??? Man I just really can’t understand how something as horrible as sexual assault can be turned into something romantic.

And one other thing I have also noticed a lot of recently, is the defending and PEOPLE LIKING stories with actual incest in them. Especially stuff between brothers, like bro. Not only step brothers (which is already a VERY grey area) but actually fully blood related brothers. I have seen people talking about one bl manhwa where one brother is actually RAISED by the other and then the two fall in love… dude what.

And I get that people like different things and are into different things, of course that’s normal. But bro, incest and non consensual s3x are not one of the things that is okay to be into my dudes, I’m sorry.

Please someone, let me know I’m not actually crazy and atleast some people agree with me how wrong and weird this type of stuff is.
