Katie and Hughie breakup

My theory is that katie and Hughie broke up at the Winterball. Pierce choking on Liz maybe because she was at the Ball with his teammate, so he got mad. Then the bathroom breakup afterwards, because hugh couldnt lie to either girls anymore & the scene where they got caught by Claire and Gibs, where Hugh tells liz how he really feels about her.
