I might get hate for this

I know people get on Hugie for not defending Gibsie to Liz when she is attacking him, and I also was too, but then I saw thing about the playlist about Liz being bipolar and having manic episodes. And I started thinking and this isnt in every case but it's a pattern. I feel like anytime Liz attacks Gibsie she is either in a manic state or is coming into one. It is obvious she has many triggers. Like in BK13 I felt that they had a normal enemies relationship, like my boyfriend and best friend don't get along, like they equally said horrible things to each other but like it honestly wasn't that bad considering they don't exactly like each other. Even in taming 7 they still picked on each other but it never crossed that line.

For example when Liz comes bursting into Claire's room and has that whole word vomit to gibsie.she is obviously distressed. Like her best friend told her grieving mother that she was cutting again, and her parents have sent her to a mental hospital before, and it was very traumatic for her. And she is scared of going back, and like I don't even think she cared that Gibsie was there, until he started defending Claire and that's when she started to fight with him. Everything she said wasn't said in a rational state of mind. And I think Hugie knew that, so he kept quite and I think they have had conversations before and she has probably said to him that she doesn't want to say those things, but it's hard because she is angry all the time.

I genuinely feel like Liz only attacks Gibsie when she is having an episode, like when it was close to the anniversary of her sister's death, or when Gibsie called her Crazy. She has so many triggers that I don't think she is even aware of. If you take out those instances they have a very normal enemies relationship.

It's been said that Mark is like an older version of Gibsie so I feel like when she starts verbally abusing him and saying all those awful things, she is seeing Mark. And it's like her way of confronting him, in some cases not all. And that goes the same for Gibsie, Liz looks exactly like Cahomie who didn't believe him when he built up the courage to tell her what Mark was doing to him.

And before you guys say that I'm defending Liz, I am not, she is a complex character and she deserves to be understood. And I feel like she is very interesting but only if CW can write her story well. I also wished that her books would just be about her and layoff on the romance, I want her to grow as a person and learn to regulate her emotions without Hugie.

I wished CW just gave an F u to the insane fans and just published Claiming 10 before Taming 7, so many things don't make sense and it's because the timeline is fucked. Alright that enough for today 😁.
