Is Shorekeeper a need?

I’m a day one player but took a major break due to medical stuff so I missed out on everyone’s banner, only starting to play again in 2.0. I didn’t get Shorekeeper, the only two characters I have being Jiyan and Jinshi, and I see people saying she’s very good.

I have guaranteed for Brant and wondering if I should give that up for Shorekeeper or will I be okay without her till her next run?
