I am going to my first Budhist temple within a week or so. I have hardly any experiences with religion and I am drawn to budhism, is there anything i should know of beforehand?

I really want to learn more about budhism. I am 17 years old (almost 18), and i have never engaged much with religion or spirituality. I have heard that the specific budhist temple i'm going to is very welcoming, although my knowledge on budhism itself is very limited.

I have been engaging more with stuff that i have been attempting to connect with spiritually, such as meditation. I also recently purchased tarot cards which i wanted to use for this purpose, would i be allowed to associate myself both with tarot readings and budhist practices? I also am not a vegetarian if thats important to address. I really don't know much about budhist practices as a whole though. I hope i will learn more about their values and rituals once i attend (which i will do more than once), although what are things i could/should know beforehand?

Edit: i'm pretty sure the temple is dedicated to tibetan budhism
