Buenos Aires impressions

I am in BA for 3days now and I want to share some regarding the city, maybe will help some which are in the same situation as I was/am

Arrival and public transportation: BA it's big but with public transportation and some walking I was able so see everything I planned. Arrived in EZE airport and here I bought a Sube card, 1700$, and I topped up with 9000$, maximum allowed. With bus 8 I got to the city from where I was able to connect with all other buses or subway.

SIM card: i tried to buy one from the airport but I was asked 18000$ for 2GB if I recall correctly so i choose to try again in the city. i ended up buying Claro. Not sure if this is exactly how you should buy it but in my case i needed to buy the Sim chip from a kiosk, you'll find them all over, for 10000$, and then activate it. Here you have 2 options, activate it online after you put the Sim in your phone or use a Claro office. After all of this you can finally buy some data, 6500$ for 10GB/30days in my case. In the office I was able to ask for a eSim after the physical Sim was activated.

Money/payment/Blue dollar/exchange-cambio: for the first payments I used Revolut for which I got a pretty good rate but I wanted to take advantage of the blue dollar rate, which was ~1250Ars for 1Usd. So regarding this: I went to Calle Florida and started asking for rates: 1200, 1230, 1250, so I choose the latter. Beware of scams, currently I am aware of 2 scams: you gave them let's say two 100$ bills and they will claim that one of them wasn't 100$ but a smaller one, when you give them the bills count them in front of them. 2nd: they will try to give you less Pesos, sleight of hand, or other technics. Count the money you receive in front of them and don't be afraid to ask for clarification.

Eating out/restaurants: in short, I checked Google maps for rating but those ratings don't say anything, from what I saw a lot of restaurants have 20-30 5star reviews in the last few hours which most likely are fake. Went to one of these restaurants and everything was awful. The smaller restaurants were for me better, better service, food and prices.

Overall safety: didn't had any issues with pickpocketing but locals told me to pay extra attention everywhere, keep your backpack in front of you, etc. To be honest I didn't spend much time on the streets after darkness, no gold necklace showed.

Hope I didn't miss anything, if you have specific questions please post them and I'll try to answer
