Help me get restful sleep
Hi all -
I know I've seen folks on here help patients tweak their settings, even if it might be against the medical equipment supply company's preference. I'm too tired to care these days. I've had the ResMed 11 since July 4, and it and I are not friends. I realize I need to just get more sleep by going to bed earlier, and *in theory* I should shave my beard for a better seal (ain't happenin'!), so what next.
My doctor's seen the scores I sent from the OSCAR data, and has decided I need titration to switch from APAP to biPAP - I have no idea how different the experience is going to feel, but I don't have high hopes - and that's mostly because of me and the masks. I toss and turn too much in the night, and that's not good with a mask. So far the best mask for me has been the AirTouch f20 (the memory foam one). I haven't done well with anything that's up against my nostrils (I'm going through ADHD/anxiety/depression stuff that has me constantly fidgeting with my moustache as it is). I also think I don't like the silicone against my skin for long - weird because it's so soft! Just not my thing I guess? I did try the f20 AirFit (with silicone) - felt nice just when first trying it on, but not for sleeping.
I see there's a new mask with nasal pillows covered in fabric that I might be curious to try. And I've tried a mask with the tube coming up off the top of the head (probably great for those of us who spin in the night), but it's not a full face mask. Then again, the f20 AirTouch is turning on me now - what's gone from me doing ok with it now has the bridge of my nose hurting all day.
I apologize for all of this - I should have ChatGPT boil it down. ;-) I know some folks look at OSCAR data and make recommendations for change to give a better night's sleep - and I'm wondering if anyone here could have a look at these screenshots. I can even post the data to a Google doc if someone prefers to DL it....I don't know if there are security issues with that?
And since there were issues with the images, I've created a Google Drive folder with the same images, plus two exported csv files from OSCAR. I don't know if people feel comfortable with them - I won't be offended if you don't want to open the files from a stranger. Here's the folder:
