What would you do in this situation?(pharmacy, ca)

You’re a pharmacy clerk. You have your Staff Pharmacist, Technician, and another clerk working.

You are on pickup. A gentleman comes in, gives you his name and date of birth, he has a medication ready. “I have one filled for you, I’ll be back.” You grab it and return. You scan them in and proceed to the next screen, the ID screen. He is picking up Oxycodone. He’s due for it, no issues with insurance, no issues at all. You say, “This medication is controlled, I will need your ID please.” He pulls out a passport and slides it over to you.

You pick the passport up, picture✅, name✅, date of birth✅, expiration🚩.

This passport has expired in 2017 and the year is 2023.

“I’m sorry sir, this passport is no longer valid, it’s been expired since 2017. Do you have another for of identification?”

He rolls his eyes. “I want to speak to the manager.” You ask if he’d like to speak with the pharmacist. He says, “No, call a manager.” You page for a manager to pharmacy, it’s the Store Manager. She arrived and speaks with him for a few minutes. She then tells you “I spoke with ‘DM’ he says it’s okay. Sell it.” You: 🤨

You apparoach the staff pharmacist and inform him of what’s going on. The SM saying the DM said to sell it, expired passport, oxycodone. You mention that every pharmacist you’ve spoken with says it’s against the law to release it without valid government issued ID. He confirms. He calls the SM back and asks what’s going on.

She immediately raises her voice and says, “I told her(me, you) to sell it! DM okayed it!” He responds “call him.” She calls him and SrPH speaks to him. “So you want me to break the law?” DM says “it’s fine, just release it but next time he needs to have a valid ID.” They talk in circles saying the same things over and over. Finally the call ends. SrPH is visibly ticked. He tells you to sell it. You FIRMLY say “I’m not breaking the law. I won’t sell it. You don’t, someone else does.

A few days later it appears SrPH told RXM what happened. 1 and a half hours into your shift, the SM comes into Pharmacy to speak with RXM about not answering calls for help to Pharmacy. He exchanges a few sentences with her you don’t hear. He then says “by the way, Don’t yell at my employees.” Your ears perk up. She exclaims “I didn’t yell at your staff!” She then turns to you, as you were minding your business pulling RTS and asks “Did I yell at you?!” In the same aggressive tone. You keep quiet and shoot your RXM a concerned look. He immediately intervened and says “It doesn’t matter, don’t do it again.” She says, “She was the one with attitude.” He again says, “Doesn’t matter, don’t do it again. I will deal with it.” She scoffs “whatever.” And storms out.

What would you do from here? I have been uncomfortable with her ever since those interactions. Those were my first two. I’m home stored somewhere else, but this is the location I was hired in for. I was suppose to be transferred, but it has yet to happen. I could use some guidance.
