Should i get a black box to save £1000 ?

Im 17 with my first car, insurance with hastings black box is about 1.5k and with hastings direct (cheapest) it is 2.6k, should i bite the bullet and pay an extra grand for the year to not get tracked? i can afford the £1000 but it will be extra out of long term savings that i don’t necessarily have to spend if i just got one
