Do you sometimes look at common words and they just look completely foreign to you for a few seconds?

I just sent my friend a message that included the word "red". a completely normal and common word. for some reason I looked at it for a few seconds and the word just didn't seem familiar at all. like a foreign language, even though it's literally just the word red.
