Why are we censoring words on Reddit?

Nakita ko yung post sa subreddit na ito na cine-censor ang Angkas. While I sympathize with OP sa nangyaring experience nya with the riders I notice na daming nagrereklamo sa pag ce-censor sa mga apps. I kinda want to comment there pero I decided na mag create na lang another post cause I think it's a general problem with Philippine subreddits of censoring word, especially apps and online shopping services such as Lazada and Shopee.

First of all why are we censoring these words? I know this is a prevalent problem sa Tiktok kasi pwede silang ma-ban if they mention those words, but we're in Reddit plus mga anon naman tayo dito. It will only affect your Karma. The algo here is based on Karma. Another thing is it cause confusion. For example madami nag sasabi dito, blue app. Like pre, madaming app na blue??? May Facebook, may Lazada. Alin doon?
