Why should I become Catholic over Orthodox?

I really hope this post doesn't come across as offensive in any way. I did not grow up with the Catholic or Orthodox Church.

I have just attended my first Catholic Mass and really enjoyed it over the nondenominational churches I was raised in.

Now I attended the Catholic Church because some of my family is dissident Catholics and because it is more widespread (and close by) than Orthodoxy.

I really enjoyed the service and plan to learn more about the Catholic faith however I can't help but think about Orthodoxy as well.

When looking at the differences online both churches claim to be the original church and it is difficult to navigate as someone who was not raised in either.

Was anyone else in this boat and they picked the Catholic Church?
