"getting glutened" vs "celiac flare"

Thinking about wording to use. I started trying out the term "celiac flare" in conversation, instead of "got glutened".

e.g. eating that could cause a celiac flare, i'm suffering from a celiac flare right now, i had a bad celiac flare the last time i ate x, my celiac flare has these features and lasts this long... etc.

Seems to set people back a little bit, as opposed to a "whoopsies" in dietary intake, which seems to inherently make others take it less seriously. Makes it about the autoimmune disease, not about the diet.

Thoughts?
