Chase Balance Transfer Checks

I’m considering applying for the Chase Slate Edge card because of its 18-month 0% APR offer on purchases and balance transfers. I have a private school loan that I’d like to move over to the Slate Edge to take advantage of the 0% interest rate. Since the loan requires payment via a routing and account number and cannot be directly paid off with a credit card, I’m exploring the possibility of obtaining a balance transfer check from Chase.

I’m curious if Chase provides balance transfer checks to customers who meet certain criteria. The specifics of who qualifies as an “eligible customer” for this service are unclear to me.

As a point of reference, my current credit limit on my Sapphire Preferred card is $18,500. If I’m approved for the Slate Edge, I’m considering reallocating my credit line so that $15,000 is available on the Slate Edge. This would maximize the amount I can receive through a balance transfer check to assist in paying off my school loan.
