I'm sorry, Jessie
So, I'm finally getting to the H. H. Holmes episodes, and Alex mentioned that Holmes sounds a lot like Jack the Ripper.
I don't want to upset anyone, and I fear that Jessie may just up and leave the podcast when he hears this, but I wanted to bring to your attention the theory that H. H. Holmes and Jack the Ripper really are one and the same.
I want to summarize it properly - to do the information justice - but I think it will carry more weight if you just check it out for yourself. It is a compelling theory, and it deserves at least a surface-level investigation before being outright dismissed.
And Jessie, before you storm out of the room, let me just provide 3 simple facts for your consideration:
Both of these prolific killers had similar MO's and preferred the same type of victims
H. H. Holmes was visiting London at the time
Jack the Ripper was NEVER caught
Maybe it's just conjecture, but I feel like it's at least possible that Holmes was practicing his craft in London while away on business before coming home to Chicago and opening his murder castle.
Anyway, hope you guys see this, my gf and I would love to hear your thoughts!
