On 3rd read through, question about girl who looked up

I'm on my 3rd read through prepping for WaT. I've read all of the Cosmere except WaT. So in Wit's telling of the girl who looked up (Oathbringer pg.675), I noticed he uses the phrase "come back to Earth" is this a explained away by the "book is translated to English" explanation or is it suggesting Earth was a thing at one point? Opinions?
