New PVC slider - is this acceptable
Got a new PVC slider fitted today. I expected the door would slide into the frame smoothy.
Instead, the door is clipping the edge of the frame as it slides in. The fitter said this is normal for PVC, as they aren't as rigid as aluminium, and I should slightly press the handle outward to straighten it as I slide it in. He said this was to be expected.
This frame will not last normal use due to this clipping. Nobody is going to be careful enough to push this handle outwards slightly when closing.
I'm already slowly accepting the fact I have to go back to the office about this. I've had so much trouble with the order already, this is just the cherry on top.
Is this actually acceptable? Am I wrong to expect that the door should slide into the frame without clipping, even if its "just uPVC"?
