Crying after COVID results were read.

Does anyone have any insight onto why he cried or other theories?

My thought is that he cried because he was trying his best to delay the reading and he ultimately lost when the bailiffs essentially ripped it out of his hand and JD read it.

This signaled to him that he has no control over his life anymore.
