Are these pinprick red dots petechiae?
I caught COVID-19 two weeks ago and caught sinusitis a week after that. I’ve been prescribed some antibiotics and nasal spray.
After taking the medicine, these tiny red dots kept popping up on my skin and most of them are on my arms and legs, with a few on my face. All of them don’t hurt or itch at all.
My ENT doctor told me that could be the side-effect of the antibiotics, but the course of antibiotics has already ended. It’s been almost a week since the end of the course but they’re still there. I’m not sure if I’m overthinking but the more I googled about these dots, the more worried I’ve become.
I wonder if this could really be the symptom of COVID-19? Or the just the side-effect of the antibiotics?
I’ve already made an appointment with a dermatologist 2 weeks later but I’ve been getting super worried as that could be symptoms of some serious illness. I’m hoping for advice before my consultation.
PS I had a blood test 2 months ago but the amount of my platelets look fine to me - 276. It could be different now though.
Thanks all 🙏🏻😭
