I hate waterslide decals.
Not sure if its the right subreddit but oh well.
Tried applying some waterslide decals to my diecast cars and it's been an absolute nightmare despite doing my best to follow instructions to a tee. I apply a clear coat, let it dry, dip it in water before using a Qtip and some tweezers to slide the decal onto the figure. Except, the decals refuse to slide off the backing paper despite sitting in water for over 15 minutes and what I'm left with (if I'm lucky) is a stretched out, angry looking mess. Most of the time the entire decal just rips apart when I try to yank it off the backing paper. So far I don't get the hype and love for waterslides when stickers literally exist. Not only that, waterslides look nearly invisible on dark cars and thus aren't anywhere near as versatile as stickers. Suffice to say I'll never use waterslide decals again. It's been a dreadful experience.
