is there a Beastmaster upgrade on homebrew?

I am interested in playing as a Half-Orc beastmaster with a giant bat as his companion. It is for a Strixhaven campaign so with less combat and more just having fun with friends. However, beastmaster is still beastmaster and I would prefer not to be a liability to my team whilst still being able to have an actual animal as my companion and not a fey spirit like in Tasha's.

Is there any Homebrew classes that are balanced and let you customize your creature so it can have a building wich fits the animal? or should I make a homebrew myself for this?
