Do you have to add glitter to Yummiland gloss?

Glitter sort of irritates my lips... but those little dolls would be cute collectibles! I wouldn't want to waste the gloss, and was wondering if I gave it to my sister or used it myself, is there a way to not add the glitter? What part of the gloss is it in (base, scent, color)?
