Fuel Pressure Regulator

So I was replacing my fuel filter and it's connected to what I assume is the regulator? A circle piece that's all rusted to hell.

Anyways it's leaking fuel like crazy. Can this car run without this part temporarily for maybe 2-3 weeks? Or is it something that needs to be addressed now?

If the regulator isn't directly beside the fuel filter let me know and I'll post a picture of the part I am referring to. Thanks guys!
