Starting my E30 that hasn't started in 9 months

I've read different things about precautions to take before starting a car that hasn't started in a while. Does anyone here have any experience like this?

My car has sat dormant for 9 months. Besides things like dealing with a dead battery and checking fluids, is it necessary to do things like taking out the spark plugs and spraying lube in the cylinders, or siphoning out all the gas and replacing it with fresh gas?
