Where would you rate my deck in power?
Hey there all! This deck is my most prized deck. It was the first deck I built. And has changed over the years, it is a group slug deck of sorts. And it can end the game very fast, with the right cards. I have won on turn 2 before. But without blue responses, it can just cause me to draw a lot of table hate and I’m unable to sustain for the win. But a weird paradigm shift has happened. My old pod disbanded, two of them moved and one quit magic. But we played a lot of higher power, so this deck was born from those games. But my new pod is a lot more casual. Some of them still play precons, some highly upgraded precons, and a few optimized brews. But this deck was notorious for drawing hate from my old pod, so some of the members that came with me to this new pod immediately said it’s on the “too strong” for this group list they consider this an 8 on the 1-10 scale. But they’ve been nice and have let me play it twice. But it has lost both games I’ve played it, and it wasn’t even close. So I’m wondering. Is it not as strong as I assumed? Or is it just targeting, or is my new pod better than I think they are? I’d really love to play my most prized deck more often, and I’m trying to be fair and not run the table. But in its 2 appearances it hasn’t been the deck it was prior. I know that’s a small sample size, but I’d just love an outside opinion.
